The Mariners’ Museum lost a valued colleague and a dear friend in the passing of Lieutenant Teri Williams Johnson on September 14, 2009. Teri was a respected member of the Museum community who served the protective services department with distinction for over six years. We will deeply miss both her professionalism and her frequent laughter and smiles. A celebration of Teri’s life will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at The Mariners' Museum, in the Huntington Room due to inclement weather. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend. For update info you can relate the following. Ed & I just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on April 22. We still live at 6000 Game Farm Road, outside Urbana, where we have been for almost 36 years. Our son Shawn lives in Marysville with his wife and two children (Isaiah & Naomi). He is a service tech for IKON. After 12 years, my job as office manager for the Champaign County Building Regulations was abolished in January 2009. I am accepting "early retirement" while on unemployment very well. I am not looking to go back to work. Ed will be retiring in 2012. We have been involved in the Epiphany Prison Ministry at the Women's Reformatory in Marysville for over 12 years. This is a ministry to juvenile girls who have committed adult crimes. We also enjoy riding our 2003 Gold Wing; made a 4500 mile trip out to Yellowstone in 2007. I am active in our church (Goshen Friends in Zanesfield, OH). Toledo stops and it goes country here. We're actually right on the lake. Toledo isn't. It's in the bay. I've been here for 20 years now. I got 39 years on the railroad, and will be looking at retiring in 2 years. I can't wait. I have 4 children, and 7 grandchildren now. My youngest son still lives at home. Hello Debbie: Greetings from the Sturm family. Thank you for responding so quickly to my email. Our address is in Europe. We moved to Albania from Michigan in 1993 as Christian missionaries. Probably the last time we lived "officially" in Michigan was 1998. All of our parents are gone now, but I still have a brother who lives in Grove City, Greg Sturm. He currently has many grandchildren with the last name of Sturm who attend the Grove City school system. Actually, the last time we passed through Grove City was in December of 2007, a few months ago. We were on our way back to Albania after a two month visit in the States. Three of our children live with us in Albania, and three others live in South Carolina. We have five lovely girls and one boy. Some "newsy" items for you is that here in Albania we work as Christian missionaries spreading the Gospel in this muslim country. We also are the owners of a Christian radio station, Radio Logos, and we are working with a group of Germans to start a private Christian university here in Albania (I have a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from OSU). Deb,  Thanks for the note about Lanny, that is very sad. I also wanted to say I was sorry I did not get a chance to speak with you at the reunion. It was very hectic for us and I did not get to spend as much time with everyone as I would have liked. I imagine it was doubly so for you. Lanny Bullock, 53 of Grove City, passed away, Saturday, September 3, 2005 at his residence. A retired SBC employee, Lanny was active in C.W.A. Local Union 4320 where he served for many years. He was a Loaned Executive with United Way where he helped in organizing Front Runner Parks and United Labor's One New Toy. Lanny served as a Boy Scout Leader and served for many years on the board of Rebuilding Together and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Grove City. Carolyn Ann Edwards (Cronin), age 76, of Grove City, passed away March 17, 2005 at Riverside Hospital. She was a retired employee of K-Mart. She was preceded in death by her brothers Joe and Jerry Cronin. Survivors include her daughters, Sue Edwards (Tom) Hillebrand of Northville, Mich. and Gayla (Tom) Wolden of Columbus; son, Pat (Denise) Edwards of Grove City; grandchildren, Chelcie Horne, Joe and Tim Hillebrand, Brandon and Eric Edwards; sisters, Geraldine Sony, Martha Cronin and Judy Cronin; brothers, Tim Cronin and Dennis (Pat) Cronin; many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Cheryl Jean Curry, age 49 of Urbancrest, OH. went home to be with the Lord Wednesday. December 19, 2001, at Doctors West Hospital. Faithful member of Philadelphia Deliverance Church of Christ, where she was Pastor's Aid, coordinator and treasurer, member of Usher Board, choir and a great soloist, licensed missionary. Debbie Hart VanHorn wrote 9-2-00 saying: I just moved my son to college TODAY, and am worn out. He is on the 4th floor at Ohio University, Athens - and with today's heat, moving him in exhausted me! I will surely miss him being in the house, he has been such a man since Jack's passing. I was married to Jack VanHorn (our class) for 26 years, until he passed away of a brain tumor in December of 1998. I can send his obituary at another time. 

Our sincere condolences to Linda George-Wilson. Her husband Michael passed away Saturday, August 26, 2000. He was only 47 years old. It was his heart.
