C. Ray and Paulie, ages 13 and 9, came from Las Vegas to visit with Grandma Gen on Saturday August 4, 2001. The boys had been staying with their other grandparents, Rose and Paul, who live in Toledo, Ohio. We all met at Gen's apartment and enjoyed catching up on the boy's activities. They are both quite the talkers! Then we went to Damon's for Dinner. The verdict is still out on whether or not Damon's ribs are better than Tony Roma's. We topped off the night by going to Cooper Stadium for a baseball game between the Columbus Clippers and the Toledo Mud Hens. It was a good game, with lots of "great plays", according to Paul, and the Mud Hens won 4-3. Finally a speedy ride down the freeway, in Aunt Pam's open convertible, allowed the boys and their cousin Jacquelyn to wave at trucks and other cars. They thought the whole day was "AWESOME". Also along for the day was Aunt Julie, and Jacquelyn's best friend, Brittany, who was there to help even the score between boys and girls. |
